The song “Hurt,” originally released by Nine Inch Nails in 1994, was covered by Johnny Cash in 2002, and now is getting another treatment by the producer Bullwack, A.K.A. BULLW∆CK. Basing his 8bit version on the Johnny Cash cover, Bullwack adds crunchy beats, whiny synths, and chiptune sounds. This electronic homage captures the nostalgia of Johnny Cash’s “Hurt.” The lyrics are omitted from Bullwack’s version, highlighting the music in the song.
